Rob Skaggs is a singer/song-writer/entertainer living in
Nashville, TN. Rob has been playing Country and Southern Rock for
the last 12 years, playing in some of the most well-known clubs and
venues through-out the United States. He attended The University Of
Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, majoring in Music and Acting, and moved to
Nashville in 1995. Rob spent 3 years touring the United States with
country stars Don Williams and Chad Brock, doing merchandise, stage
set-up and eventually singing with Chad's band. Rob is a talented
vocalist, guitar player, and song-writer. His years of experience on
stage, both from music performances as well as acting, show throughout
his entire show. People want to see a great live performance, and
Rob delivers just that.
Since returning to Nashville in December 2006, Rob has been very
active playing in the local clubs. Tootsies, The Stage, The Wheel, Full
Moon Saloon, The Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar , and the "world-famous"
Nashville Palace have all booked this rising star. In December of 2008,
Rob headlined his first concert in Ohio, and the show sold-out. In
March, he accepted an invitation to perform on the TV show
"Nashville On Stage". His band members have played for artists like
Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, Vern Gosdin, Sara Evans, Trace Adkins
Mel McDaniel, & Marty Stuart, just to name a few.
In 2009 he was offered a role in an upcoming feature film "Redemtion Ride",
for which he wrote a song that is featured in the movie, as well as playing
the role of "Lacey". 2011 has seen some great accomplishments, as he has
been getting his first significant airplay on the radio. His new recordings
include special guest musicians from Reba McEntire's band. Rob is currently
in the studio preparing his next single for radio release.
